A Taste of the Unknown

How many of you like Guacamole? A few right, it's so good with chips and salsa, or nachos, hmmm, and burritos! Or what about avocados? They are basically the same thing right? And how many of you love chocolate? I just imagined about every hand in the world raising to that one, everyone loves chocolate to an extent. Well, how about chocolate and avocado together? Yeah, I don't think so. But here, in Indonesia, it's a delicacy. Avocado is used a drink to cool yourself on a hot day, and what better to have it with chocolate syrup. Well, it doesn't stop there. Not only is it a drink, but also the ever so popular cake. Even places so known to us, like Starbucks sell a Avocado Mousse Cake. After a year and a half of seeing it every time I go to get my delicious coffee, I am still astounded at the sight of it, nor do I think I will ever get over the idea of chocolate and avocado together. Although it may seem weird to me, listen to this. The other night I was having a taco with guacamole, and an Indonesian said to me "Avocado with tacos, that's so gross, I have it as a drink."
So, I guess this all comes to show, that what may seem weird to one, is perfectly normal to another. But chocolate and this green slimy vegetable, seems like something I will never be able to get my mind past. Don't believe me about this awkward dish? Take a look at this pics taken at Starbucks!
